"Dr. Berglund has helped me get back to normal activity levels and back to running. When I first got hurt, I wasn't sure that either of those things would ever happen. Various professionals tried, but Dr. Berglund was able to pinpoint the injury and teach me how to take better care of myself so that it won't happen again. And, she's a delightful and kind person. She's the best!"

I was referred to Alison Berglund at 633 physical therapy when I was having trouble with my right shoulder and arm. I have done 18 sessions with her and my arm and shoulder are 100% better than what it was when I first went to her. Alison has a heart of gold and has nothing but your best interest at heart!

Jessica Beattie

Dr Alison has been so helpful. This is your reminder that you don't have to be injured to benefit from PT! Dr Alison can help assess your body and determine muscles that need strengthening. She is dedicated to her patients, and she might even show up at your race to cheer you on!

 Amanda Kepshire

A friend recommended Alison at 6:33 PT to me for ankle/foot pain. The first thing I noticed about Alison is how thorough she was! The first appointment was extensive, talking about history, what my issue was, my immediate goals, and ultimate goals. She really wants to get to the root of the problem.

 Your Questions Answeres

Do I need a referral to start physical therapy in South Carolina?

No! South Carolina has direct access laws, which means you can see a physical therapist without a physician referral. You can start your recovery immediately by calling us to schedule an evaluation. If treatment continues beyond 30 days, we'll communicate with your physician to keep them informed.

How long are the physical therapy sessions?

Every session at 6:33 Physical Therapy is a full hour, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. No assistants, no shared appointments—just dedicated time focused entirely on your recovery and goals.
What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first visit is a comprehensive evaluation where we'll discuss your medical history, current shoulder pain, your goals, and what activities you want to get back to. We'll perform a thorough movement assessment to identify the root cause of your pain, then create an individualized treatment plan designed specifically for you.
Do you accept insurance? Are you in-network?

6:33 Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider, which allows us to provide the highest quality individualized care without insurance restrictions. Many patients have out-of-network benefits that can significantly offset costs. We're happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Contact us for a good faith cost estimate based on your specific condition.
How many sessions will I need for my shoulder pain?

Every patient is unique, and treatment duration depends on your specific condition, goals, and how your body responds to therapy. Some patients see significant improvement in 4-6 weeks, while others with chronic conditions may benefit from longer care. We'll reassess regularly and keep you informed of your progress every step of the way.
What makes 6:33 PT different from other physical therapy clinics?

We specialize in one-on-one care for athletes and active adults who refuse to accept pain as their new normal. Every session is a full hour with a Doctor of Physical Therapy, and we include dry needling, manual therapy, run analysis, and training plan design at no additional cost. Our holistic approach addresses not just your injury, but your movement, recovery, sleep, nutrition, and mindset.
