At 6:33 Physical Therapy, we know that each person who walks through our doors deserves individualized treatment tailored to their goals and lifestyle. At our performance physical therapy clinic, we focus on eliminating pain so our clients can return to the activities they love, whether that means playing with their grandkids in the backyard or running across the finish line at an Ironman.
We believe everyone has the right to pain-free movement, and through our unique care philosophy, we help our clients get the relief they need.
Our Mission
6:33 Physical Therapy uses physical therapy to heal and prevent injuries in our clients, including athletes, while prioritizing person-first, individualized care rooted in strength, mobility, and compassion.
Our Vision
We aim to build a community focused on longevity and movement in health, so they can do what they love, pain-free.
Core Values
Our core values guide our approach to physical therapy. We aim to have an impact on patient’s lives through individualized care that prioritizes longevity through movement, whole-person care, and compassion in action. As a performance physical therapy clinic, it is important to us that each patient finds themselves able to move again.
Longevity Through Movement
Our clinic empowers each person who walks through our doors to stay active, strong, and healthy—for life. We prioritize sustainable performance and lifelong wellness by taking a proactive approach to physical therapy, working towards not just healing from injury but also injury prevention. Physical therapy can be beneficial beyond injury, so we also offer membership-style monthly sessions for individuals who want to keep themselves healthy as they live their active lifestyles.
Whole-Person Care
Our providers treat the whole individual. We see the body as a holistic unit, so our treatment plans integrate movement, recovery, sleep, nutrition, and mindset to create lasting results. In our Mount Pleasant clinic, each patient gets one-on-one care from a licensed physical therapist for the duration of the appointment. No aides. No shared treatment times. Just individualized time to heal and grow.
Compassion in Action
At 6:33 Physical Therapy, we serve each client with integrity, empathy, and personalized care. Our unique approach prioritizes building trust and optimizing our patients’ quality of life through genuine connection. We look forward to sessions with our clients and celebrate wins—big and small. For us, building relationships and community with our clients is central to our philosophy.
Treatment Philosophy

In our Mount Pleasant clinic, we aim to treat the whole person, because physical therapy is about getting back to what you love. That means working with our clients on a holistic approach to healing, where we look at more than just the injury. We want patients to leave our clinic empowered to keep moving and stay healthy.
We start each client-provider relationship with an intake assessment, where we identify the root cause of the pain and also learn more about our patients’ goals and what milestones they have for the recovery process. During this session, we also get to know our patients and work in collaboration with them to create a physical therapy regimen tailored to their individual needs. Our priority is the health and wellbeing of our patients. We want to see people walk out our doors able to do what they want to do, pain-free.
Focusing on whole-person care means understanding how each client’s lifestyle impacts their experience of injury and how they will respond to treatment. We also know that dealing with injury and going through recovery can be mentally challenging. We are here to be the cheerleaders for our clients, working with them each step of the way to celebrate wins and milestones in the recovery process. Progress in physical therapy isn’t linear; we know there will be setbacks. But, at our clinic, we embrace the challenge because working through the difficulty will lead to better recovery.
Our Story

Dr. Alison Berglund founded 6:33 Physical Therapy in 2022. Her practice was born out of her own experience dealing with injury while training for a marathon. At the time, her medical providers told her that her body might not “be made to run marathons.” While in physical therapy school at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Alison focused on learning about the body’s many complex systems. This knowledge allowed her to address the root cause of her injury. Since then, she has gone on to compete in several events, including marathons and ultramarathons, Ironmans, and, more recently, HYROX.
Her experience and frustration with injury led to the creation of 6:33 Physical Therapy. She wanted to cultivate a physical therapy clinic focused on finding the root cause of pain to treat injury. Many people live their lives with nagging aches and pains, unable to find the right formula to treat it and live pain- and/or injury-free. At 6:33 Physical Therapy, Alison and our staff physical therapists treat each client with compassion to identify their unique injury, pain, or movement restriction.
Since opening the clinic in 2022, Alison and the 6:33 team has seen numerous patients in the Charleston, SC, area, often treating clients who have experienced long-term injury without answers. Our unique approach provides our clients with a one-of-a-kind experience focused on figuring out how to get them moving again. In addition, the clinic has seen parents who want to get back to playing with their kids, casual runners with aches and pains, individuals who require post-surgery rehabilitation, and more.
In 2026, we moved into our new space in Mount Pleasant, welcoming the next chapter of 6:33 Physical Therapy. Our clinic continues to grow through community building in the Charleston, SC, area where we engage with local running and fitness groups.
