Treatment methods

We employ a variety of treatment methods to ensure each of our patients gets the quality care they deserve. With this approach, we are able to individualize each session and focus on what our client needs, not what insurance requires.

Patients at our clinic can expect the following treatment methods during their visit:

  • Strength training and mobility work. Strength training and mobility is the cornerstone of physical therapy. Many injuries happen because of weaknesses in the body. Building muscle and stability alleviate pain and prevent further injury.

  • Dry needling. Dry needling can reduce pain and muscular tension, thus optimizing movement and improving range of motion. We offer dry needling at no additional cost to our physical therapy patients.

  • Cupping. Benefits of cupping include pain relief and improved blood circulation through decompression of skin, fascia, and muscles.

  • Run analysis. Understanding running form can be key for healing from and preventing injuries. Improving form can make a big difference in movement longevity.

  • Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). This therapeutic technique for treating soft tissue, including fascia and scar tissue.

  • Joint mobilization and manipulation. Manual therapy with a Doctor of Physical therapy can relieve joint pain and improve mobility and joint function.

  • Performance and sport-specific training. As a performance physical therapy clinic, we often work with athletes on preparing for big events, tailoring their treatment and preventative care to their goals.

What to Expect a 6:33 Physical Therapy Appointment

At each 6:33 Physical Therapy appointment, clients meet one-on-one for a Doctor of Physical Therapy for a full hour. We do not have aides or have shared/overlapping appointments.

At your first appointment, we will determine the root cause of your pain and discuss both short-term and long-term recovery goals. Then, we will get started with treatment. We develop an individualized plan, tailored to your goals and needs, utilizing a variety of techniques.

Injury prevention

Physical therapy doesn’t have to end once you are healed from energy. One of our core goals as a clinic is to also focus on injury prevention. Because we believe in treating the whole person and addressing the root cause of pain, our clinic avoids “quick fixes” and “band-aid” solutions to physiological issues. Instead, we focus on longevity and movement in health so our clients can do what they love, pain-free.

Why focus on injury prevention?

We want our clients to “graduate” from physical therapy and live full lives without nagging pains or potential for future injury. Proper recovery means that you are less likely to re-injure the same area.

When we don’t fully heal from an injury, we are more likely to experience lasting pain or instability in that area, putting us at risk. For example, if you had a severe ankle sprain, but it didn’t fully heal, you are more likely to resprain the same ankle, and have ongoing issues.

Our goal is to see clients doing what they love. For many of them, that means taking the steps to heal completely and prevent further injury through continued strength and mobility training long after physical therapy ends.

6:33 Physical Therapy Membership

Because we believe in whole-person care, our clinic offers a membership to clients interested in preventing injury through monthly “tune-ups.” Members meet with a doctor of physical therapy once a month to discuss concerns. We work with these clients to develop a maintenance plan to ensure they are able to keep moving forward.
