Physical Therapy for Neck Pain in Mt Pleasant, SC
Heal your neck pain with personalized, one-on-one care from doctors of physical therapy Alison Berglund and Matthew VanSlyke. As athletes themselves, Drs. Alison and Matt will work with you to understand the root cause of your neck pain and create a neck pain recovery plan so you can return to what you love.

A new approach to treating neck pain
Whether your neck pain is new or chronic, it shouldn’t keep you from the active lifestyle you love. The 6:33 Physical Therapy approach to treating neck pain with physical therapy focuses on each unique patient and their treatment goals.

Told to 'just rest' or stop the activities you love?
Being told to rest or take a break from your active lifestyle doesn’t address the cause of your neck pain or why it keeps coming back. Generic advice doesn't take your unique body and lifestyle into consideration. You need a physical therapy plan tailored to your experience of neck pain.

Tired of cookie cutter treatments in crowded clinics?
Many physical therapy clinics have rushed appointments where one PT sees multiple patients an hour, leaving you to do exercises on your own without guidance or personalized attention. We meet one-on-one with our clients for a full hour, ensuring we can focus on each person and their needs.

Have pain that keeps returning?
Temporary relief might feel good in the moment, but it’s just that: temporary. Poor posture, muscle weakness, or poor form can all contribute to the underlying cause of your neck pain. But, these issues need to be identified and addressed to alleviate pain. At 6:33, we focus on getting our clients back to what they love to do… for good.
Our Mt Pleasant clinic welcomes anyone ready to find relief from neck pain.
Mt Pleasant Residents Choose 6:33 Physical Therapy for Neck Pain. Here’s Why.
Our philosophy of physical therapy focuses on the whole person, not just the pain they experience. We aim to not only treat your neck pain, but empower you with the tools, techniques, and knowledge to grow stronger, move better, and be pain-free. We have the same priority as you: getting back to the active lifestyle you love.
6:33 Physical Therapy is Mt Pleasant’s premiere clinic for treating neck pain. Some benefits of our physical therapy practice include:
-
1-hour one-on-one sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy at every visit. Our PTs work with you individually to ensure you get the care you need to alleviate pain and heal from injury.
-
Detailed at-home exercise plans to build strength and recover. We don’t schedule unnecessary visits and equip our patients with what they need to see improvements between visits.
-
Focus on addressing the root cause of pain or injury to tailor plans to each unique patient. We don’t use the same treatment for each patient. Everyone’s experience of injury and pain is different, so each plan should be different, too.
-
Providers who are endurance athletes themselves and understand the need to move, train, and compete. As a performance physical therapy clinic, 6:33 specializes in getting athletes back to the start line for their next race or event. We have worked with patients from the onset of injury all the way to completing their dream race!

Our 3-Step Process to ALLEVIATE NECK PAIN

1
EVALUATION WITH A DOCTOR OF PHYSICAL THERAPY
We always begin our doctor-patient relationships with a discovery call and initial consultation. During this phase, we take time to learn about our patients, discuss their pain, and also discuss their goals for physical therapy. After a comprehensive full-body evaluation, we will develop a treatment plan meant to target your specific needs.
APPOINTMENTS TAILORED TO YOU AND YOUR PROGRESS
Every body is different, and every body responds to physical therapy differently. In our clinic, we aim to tailor appointments to you and your progress. This means we always choose exercises and treatments meant to help your individual circumstance and we don’t schedule unnecessary appointments. Using a combination of strength work and hands-on techniques like dry needling, joint mobilization, and soft tissue work, we treat the source of your pain.
2
GIVE YOU THE TOOLS TO STAY PAIN FREE
Empowering you with the knowledge, exercises, and strategy to prevent neck pain from returning is a priority. We love to see our clients restored to full health and on to their next achievement. Our team is excited to help you move better, move more, and move toward your goals with confidence. Our mission is to empower you with the knowledge, exercises, and strategies to prevent neck pain from returning. We want to help you move better, move more, and move toward your goals with confidence.

Neck Pain Physical Therapy FAQs
1. Do I need a doctor's referral for neck pain physical therapy?
No referral needed! South Carolina allows patients direct access to physical therapy, which means you can schedule an evaluation without a visit to the doctor’s office. Schedule your free discovery call with 6:33 Physical Therapy to get started. We will discuss your neck pain and determine if we are the right fit for your needs.
2. Does 6:33 Physical Therapy take my insurance?
In order to provide the highest possible quality of care, we operate a cash-based clinic and are not in-network with insurance companies. Because of this, our treatment plans can be individualized to each patient and we are able to provide the highest quality of care, not limited by the direction of insurance companies. Additionally, we are able to see you one-on-one for a full hour, every single session. We can provide you with a superbill to submit a claim to your insurance company for potential reimbursement based on your individual plan.
3. What techniques do you use to treat neck pain?
We use a comprehensive approach including manual therapy, joint mobilization and manipulation, dry needling, cupped, instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), therapeutic exercises, and postural education. We are able to offer all modalities without an additional cost on top of your plan.
4. How much does neck pain physical therapy cost?
6:33 Physical Therapy offers a number of different packages. The number of sessions and overall length of treatment will vary based on your condition and goals. For a good faith cost estimate, please reach out to our clinic.
5. Can you help with neck pain that radiates into my shoulders or arms?
Yes! We can treat neck pain with radiating symptoms including numbness, tingling, or pain extending into the upper back, shoulders, and arms. During our full body evaluation, we will work to identify the root cause of your radiating neck pain and additional symptoms. If we are not the right provider to help solve your problem we will refer you to the place that is.
